Inside the ArchivesThis four-day workshop is designed to give teachers an opportunity to conduct research in the textual archives of the LBJ Library, learn how the Library can be utilized to enhance classroom activities and learning, and visit the permanent exhibit and an exciting temporary exhibit. Teachers will work directly with Archivists and conduct research using the primary documents from the Library's extensive archives. After conducting research, each person will write at least one lesson plan and/or activity for classroom use. All participants will receive copies of the primary documents used in creating the activities. Grade Levels: most appropriate for Upper Elementary through 12 Ability Levels: advanced placement, International Baccalaureate, honors, gifted/talented, regular, special education, alternative education (Attendees can receive six (6) hours of Gifted/Talented credit.) Subject Areas: all; most appropriate for social studies, English/reading, art, math, some science Cost: A $100 workshop fee is required, but will be refunded upon Make checks payable to
