C-SPAN has placed a number of the telephone conversations recorded by President Johnson on its web site. C-SPAN selected the conversations, or portions of conversations, airing them on C-SPAN radio. C-SPAN's web site contains over 800 segments and full telephone conversations with extensive descriptions provided by C-SPAN. A search engine helps visitors locate conversations of interest.

Between 1940 and 1973, six American presidents from both political parties secretly recorded just under 5,000 hours of conversations. This Miller Center site is designed as a service to the research community by making freely available all of the presidential recordings, along with relevant research materials, so that scholars, teachers, students, and the public can hear and use these remarkable tapes for themselves.
