The President's Daily Diary: April 13, 1967

On April, 13, 1967, President Johnson continued to meet with Latin American Heads of State at the summit meeting in Punta del Este, Uruguay. The President began the day with breakfast with the President of Panama and his party. Following the breakfast, Johnson attended a public session of the summit where he listened to speeches by the other Heads of State. At lunch Johnson met with the President of Chile and his party. Later in the afternoon Johnson attended the third informal working session of the Presidents to consider and reach final agreement on a Summit Declaration and Communique. Following the working session, President Johnson met individually with the Presidents of Argentina, Ecuador, and Paraguay for bilateral talks.
