The Scoop: Bill Moyers, an award-winning journalist and former
aide to President Lyndon B. Johnson, is the speaker for the Seventh Annual
Harry Middleton Lectureship series. Mrs. Lyndon B. Johnson established
the lectureship, bearing the Library Director’s name, in 1994. Past speakers
include Presidents Ford and Carter, journalist Brian Williams and actor
Michael York. Moyers has garnered more than 30 Emmy Awards for documentaries
that span three decades of work in public television and is the author
of several best-selling books. The Harry Middleton Lectureship series
is free and open to the public.
