"When Sam (LBJ's father) was returning from the home of the neighbor who took the picture, he raised his hand holding the package as he saw me waiting on the porch and began to run. I ran to meet him and we met in the middle of the Benner pasture to exclaim rapturously over the photograph of our boy. We had never seen a picture more beautiful - nor did we ever!"
